Good DJs play good music. Great DJs connect with people through great music. DC area DJ, Dj Jo’Iyce decided a long time ago that he wanted to be nothing short of great. Through hard work, persistence and an ear for great music, DJ Jo’Iyce has been steadily establishing himself as one of the DMV’s rising, most anticipated DJs on the scene. After an attempt at a solo rap career and following a membership in the short-lived music group 4 Cornerz, Jo’Iyce made a seemingly random decision that would jumpstart his DJ career. He purchased two turntables and a mixer not an exhilarating start to a life-changing choice.

What began as a temporary past time, became an adventure that turned to a life-changing decision. DJ Jo’Iyce’s resume now includes major gigs at some of DC’s most popular clubs, a 2yearr residency at Drais in Las Vegas, 5 tours with Future which branded him under the Freebandz stamp, to national events such as NBA All-Star Weekend, CIAA events a more the list goes on. This coupled with his broadcast experience as a radio personality for 101.3 Jamz (The Around the Block Rush) as well as his own internet radio show on SWURV RADIO (Arounddablockrush). To appearing on television Fox 5 morning news as a Dj and Vh1’s Lala’s Full Court life, Revolts 420 concert series, Viceland Tv Noisey and more. Jackie Paige is a sassy, warm-spirited southern belle born and raised in the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina. Her love for broadcast began as a teenager and led to her majoring in broadcast journalism at Hampton University, where she also served as a personality on the university’s radio station. Jackie has a heart for her community and has volunteered with several, well-known organizations, including Girl Scouts, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Coastal Carolina Women’s Shelter, Teach For America and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Jackie is a certified an AFAA Group Fitness, Zumba Fitness, TRX instructor and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. In her free time, Jackie loves to travel and dance!

The list of celebrities for whom has deejayed reads like the ultimate VIP list that includes renowned and award-winning artist like, Stevie Wonder, Lil’ Mo, Common, Jamie Foxx, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, and BET Founder, Bob Johnsons’ Grand Opening of the BET Soundstage in Turks & Caicos. Quick has been one of the official DJ’s on some of the biggest national and international tours and events. Quick also had the distinct pleasure of having been an opening DJ for Janet Jackson and the Official DJ for national events like The NBA Allstar Weekend, the Annual CIAA Weekend, and the NFL Superbowl activities. In 2013, Quick was called to deejay for President Barack Obama’s Second Term Inaugural Ball.

Quicksilva picked up an endorsement when he was selected as an Official Pepsi Smash DJ in 2004. He also has been an official DJ for Jamaica’s Red Stripe Beer. Sean “Diddy” Combs handpicked him as a Ciroc Boyz DJ whose talent has moved beyond deejaying to being a major influencer for the brand. Quicksilva has since been endorsed by apparel and footwear lines with Adidas and Luxe-T. He is currently a Brand Ambassador for PUMA. Dominique Da Diva began her radio career in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia as an intern with WBTJ-106.5 The BEAT. A proud alumnus of Virginia State University and a lovely lady of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. Dominique was offered the on-air weekend time slot upon graduating with a B.A in Mass Communications in 2010. It wasn’t long before the aspiring media mogul was running the #1 slot during Middays on WOWI-103 JAMZ in Norfolk, VA. In 2016, Dominique took her talents to Los Angeles to host ‘Diva Unfiltered’ on Dash Radio and explore the digital tech world with the launch of her very own App, ‘Da Daily Dirt’ available in the Apple Store!

Full of personality and comedic one-liners, Dominique continues to exemplify what Beyonce’ means when she says, ‘a diva is a female version of a hustler.’ She’s graced stages alongside prominent celebrities like Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba, Jordin Sparks & Michelle Obama, as the official host for FNV Live. Having strong roots in Prince George’s County, Little Bacon Bear can be found on – air on 93.9 WKYS FM throughout the week. Since her start with Radio One in 2017, she’s shown dedication in sharing her platforms with local and major artists alike. 

With segments like KYS Versus and the Crank Session, Bacon’s attention to the thriving DMV music scene is apparent nightly on-air. 

She’s one of the DMV’s most coveted young DJs known for being at the forefront of music, nightlife, and culture. Ubiquitous in DC’s entertainment scene, she has spun and hosted for brands like Essence, BET, Nike, and Youtube. 

She’s a self taught traditionalist and despite being one of radio’s freshest faces, she wants to use her platform for more.

Some of her biggest goals as a personality include her quest to be a beacon of success for other women in the music industry, and changing the public face of terrestrial radio in the eyes of artists, DJs, and music fans alike.
