Victoria’s Secret’s (VS) Fashion Show made its big comeback last night, and the girlies are still buzzing. After a six-year hiatus, the lingerie brand delivered a night on October 15 packed with alluring fantasy, surprise runway moments, and major music performances.

So, what caused VS’ runway hiatus?
For years, VS was that girl—the go-to when you wanted to feel cute, sexy, and ready to turn heads. With collections of bras, panties, scents, lotions, loungewear, and more, Victoria’s Secret was like a good girlfriend. Then, things took a turn. In 2019, the brand faced criticism for its lack of diversity on the runway, with calls for more size-inclusive options and a fresh take on what beauty should look like. At the time, company executives said they couldn’t see plus-size women and members of the trans community as part of their fantasy, which led to significant backlash. The result was boycotts and a long pause on the brand’s beloved runway show. In May, they took to Instagram saying, “We’ve read the comments and heard you.
