The Washington Wizards have unfortunately been on a losing streak without a win since New Year’s Day. There was a spark of joy when a former Wizards favorite, John Wall arrived at Capital One Arena.

John Wall played with DC for the first 10 years of his NBA career from 2010 to 2020. He then was switched to play with The Houston Rockets from 2020-21 and The LA Clippers from 2022-23. John has stated openly that he believes he is the greatest Wizards player of all-time which many do agree with. The Wizards organization recognized Wall’s contributions not only to the team but also to The DMV with an appreciation video during the Wizards vs Timberwolves game, Monday night.

There would’ve also been another previous Wizard in the building this week but Phoenix Suns’ guard Bradley Beal was ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Washington. Beal, unfortunately rolled his ankle in the third quarter of Tuesday’s loss in Atlanta during a rebound attempt which has left him with a left ankle sprain.

During John Wall’s time with the Wizards he averaged; 18.7 points, 8.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 10 seasons.

During Bradley Beal’s time with the Wizards he averaged; 22.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in 11 seasons.

The DMV definitely misses these players but are wishing them the best in their future journeys! Checkout a few highlights from John Wall’s time as a Washington Wizard in the video below;
