As summer winds down, families across the DMV are flocking to National Harbor before school starts, aware of the juvenile curfew that’s been in place all summer to curb youth crime after viral videos of teen brawls.

Many believe the curfew has made the harbor safer. Regular visitor, Quinton Lawrence, noted it aligns with similar measures in other cities, particularly in tourist areas.

Margo Champion, who often visits the harbor, welcomed the curfew, saying it helps maintain peace and protect tourism. With school starting, locals expect the harbor to remain a serene spot, thanks to the curfew and the return of routine.
