Ja Rule & Ashanti Get In Heated Confrontation With Cops

Add Ventures Music Official Launch Party

With everything going on in America between Black people and police, this video is further proof that celebrity status does not exempt you from harassment.

Singer Ashanti and Murder Inc. brother Ja Rule filmed an encounter with the police when they were hanging out recently, and the “Rain On Me” singer caught the whole thing on Snapchat.

We aren’t sure what caused the escalation of the situation, but at one point you can hear Ashanti yelling, “What is the problem?”

By the end of her snap story, the 35-year-old songstress appears relaxed and ready for the gym.

Glad everything worked out okay. Watch below:

Sultry singer The Weeknd just took a huge stand by donating $250,000 to the activist group Black Lives Matter, according to the Associated Press.

This is the second huge philanthropic move of the week for the “Hills Have Eyes” crooner, who also donated $38K to an Ethiopic studies program at the University Of Toronto on Monday.

It’s clear it’s important for the Canadian-born superstar to give back to his community.

Laverne Cox has been a household name since she first appeared on “Orange Is The New Black.” Now, the routine red carpet slayer is taking her career to the next level by starring in her first network series.

Cox will make history this fall when she appears in the CBS show ‘Doubt.’ The 32-year-old actress will play an Ivy-leage educated attorney in the new series, Deadline reports.

During a panel discussion, Cox reflected on the importance of the moment:

“I’m grateful to have a job as an actor, I was standing in housing court in New York City with an eviction notice from my apartment, and I’m happy to have a job. What’s exciting about (the character) Cameron and being on CBS is that I’m an avid TV watcher. A lot of people in my community watch TV and there weren’t people like me when I was growing up.”

We are just so proud of this woman!
