Charmayne “Maxie” Maxwell’s Family Releases Statement

As we try to wrap our minds around the freak accident that claimed the life of former Brownstone singer Charmayne “Maxie” Maxwell, her family released a touching statement thanking everyone for their condolences.

“Words can not express how devastated we are at the sudden and tragic loss of our dear Maxee,” said Carsten Schack and son Nicolaj Hojer Schack in a joint statement to BET.com. “She was the center of our world as a devoted mother and wife. We miss her so much. We would like to thank everyone who has been there for us and expressed your condolences. They have given us comfort over these incredibly difficult days.”

According to TMZ reports and the officers working Charmayne’s case, the 90s vocalist was holding a wine glass when she fell backwards through her patio door. The glass shattered behind her neck, puncturing two locations. She was most-likely knocked unconscious. She was later found by her husband.

Keyshia Cole Blasts Daniel “Booby” On IG Again…

Keyshia Cole and her husband Booby’s reunion was short-lived. The couple, who separated last year, attempted to rekindle their friendship at the premiere of Keyshia Cole’s new reality show “All In.” Booby even posted a photo together on Instagram with the caption, “look what i found.. full support of this Angel at her premiere. #AllIn #GirliKnowYouWantThisDiii.”

Things went South fast when Keyshia discovered Booby was texting another woman and blasted the basketball player.

Apparently their feud is only beginning because they just went another round.

Booby posted,

“I’ll only say this. I ain’t with all this messy sh-t. This is not the place for any of this but I won’t be quiet and sit back when you decide to involve an innocent child you force my hand. Make people think I’m a hoe, cool, let people think your perfect.. I don’t care, but it takes a sick person to involve a child when they know what I do for him. For attention? Ratings?

I FaceTime’d with my son yesterday through his grandmother because I did not want to speak to his mother. & he said ‘I WANT TO BE WITH YOU because my mom been sleep all day!’ Social Media is not the place for any of this. You know Daniel Jr. is my everything. Who was he with when you went to jail behind fighting over another man? You cried on my shoulder? I went to court with you? Who taught him his ABC’s? Who flew 5hrs and drove 4 hours to bring him to you so he could bring in the New Year with his mother!! Who wakes up every morning & plays his game with him?

Don’t bring my son into your bullsh-t! A terrible father is one thing I am not. & that video was from the night of MY BIRTHDAY not his. I hope this works for you & all you’re using it for. I’m done. Crucify me but leave my son out your sh-t!”

Keyshia responded,

Well damn. Booby, you should just quit while you’re barely ahead.

Karrueche Reacts To Chris Brown’s Suprise Baby

When we first heard about Chris Brown’s (alleged) secret baby, we were somewhat surprised. Let’s be honest, Chris Brown has a reputation for being a ladies man, so it was only a matter of time before he impregnated somebody. Aside from the obvious, we also thought about Karrueche. Say what you want about the petite model, we know she must be feeling quite hurt by the news (assuming she didn’t know already).

Well Karrueche took to Twitter to express her feelings:

In other “Breezy’s got a baby” news, Rihanna allegedly told a source, ““Rihanna is shocked and had to read the reports four times before it finally sunk in,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com. “She wishes him all the best in this new and very important chapter in his life.”

Chris Brown has yet to respond to the news, but he allegedly ecstatic about being a dad.

Oprah Shuts Down HARPO Studios

Over 200 workers are out of a job following Oprah’s decision to shut down Harpo Studios in Chicago. While the Chicago lease continues through April 2016, Oprah decided it was time to “downsize.” OWN will offically stop producing shows there Tuesday.

“The time had come to downsize this part of the business and to move forward. It will be sad to say goodbye, but I look ahead with such a knowing that what the future holds is even more than I can see,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

A small group of employees will transition into the OWN headquarters in Los Angeles.

Kerry Washington To Receive GLAAD Vanguard Award

GLAAD has selected our favorite Gladiator, Kerry Washington, to be the recipient of their Vanguard Award, placing her among the ranks of other iconic celebs like Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson.

“Throughout her illustrious career, Kerry Washington has consistently brought life to characters that encourage acceptance of LGBT people,” said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. “Her outspoken support for equality, both here at home and abroad, has sent messages of hope and empowerment to fans all over the world, fostering dialogue that builds understanding and helps move hearts and minds.”

Kerry Washington will be honored on March 21 at the Beverly Hilton in LA.
