Golden Brooks To Star On TVOne’s ‘Hollywood Divas’
With the success of the “R&B Divas” franchise, TVOne is expanding their reality TV repertoire with “Hollywood Divas,” starring: Golden Brooks (“Girlfriends”), Elise Neal (‘The Hughleys’),
Paula Jai Parker (“Hustle and Flow”), Countess Vaughn (“The Parkers”) and Lisa Wu (“Real Housewives of Atlanta”).
“TV One’s audience has a passion for programming that reveals the private stories behind the public lives of Black artists,” D’Angela Proctor, Senior Vice President of Programming and Production for TV One said. “The Hollywood Divas‘ willingness to share their experiences with inequality and obstacles when it comes to the Hollywood merry-go-round is the foundation of this series. How these women are personally affected by this phenomenon and how they individually handle the pressure, is where the Hollywood Diva stories begins.”
The LA production will follow the lives of the women as they try to clinch onto relevancy. According to reports the show will air in the fourth quarter of this year. We’re kinda excited…are you?

Lee Daniels (“The Butler,” “Precious”) is bringing his Hip-Hop drama “Empire” to Fox. The show is described as a family drama that centers around the Hip-Hop world. Taraji P. Hensonwill reunite with Terrence Howard to make up the major players of the ensemble cast.
We spoke to Taraji back when she hosted the BET “Celebration of Gospel” show, when she told us about the show in its early stages.
“I just finished “Empire” with Terrence Howard,” she said. “Me, Gabourey Sidibe, Macy Grey are in it. Great, incredible cast. Hopefully, it’ll get picked up for Fox. But, it’s Sopranos meets Dynasty meets Hip Hop.”

Terry Crews Named The New Host Of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”
Our favorite dancing father, Terry Crews has been named the new host of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” Crews will succeed Cedric The Entertainer, who hosted the popular game show for a year.
I’m beyond thrilled to be joining “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and the Disney-ABC family,” Crews said in an official statement. “Millionaire is such a beloved franchise and I can’t wait to get started as the new host. In addition to my film projects … hosting has always been a dream of mine, and I couldn’t have asked for a greater opportunity.”
We think Crews would be an amazing host and so does Janice Marinelli, Disney-ABC Domestic Television president. “Terry is engaging, endearing, smart, and quick on his feet – the perfect combination to lead one of the longest-running franchises in game show history.”
We agree…Congrats Terry!
